La Reine Astrid All Suites**** in Lyon unveils a new look and feel - May 2006
Situated on the famous and prestigious Boulevard des Belges in Lyon, in front of the Parc de la Tête d’Or, La Reine Astrid****, owned by Warwick International Hotels since 2000, has completed its latest renovations.
The entire ground floor has been redesigned and renovated with the total project cost just over 800,000 Euro. The ‘New’ La Reine Astrid has now 3 large meeting rooms that can accommodate from 25 to 60 persons seated each equipped with the latest technology and equipment. One banqueting room, overlooking the landscaped garden will accommodate 200 guests.
The entrance also has a new look with a gorgeous marquee from 1900’. The furniture through out new renovation has a contemporary look much more in keeping with the hotel facilities and accommodations.
La Reine Astrid**** features a design-style lounge that overlooks the landscaped exterior garden where guest may also enjoy the delicious cuisine of Guillaume Comparat (trained by Alain Ducasse and Nicolas le Bec) serving lunch and dinner Monday through Friday. ‘Such a similar concept did not exist in Lyon. We also have redecorated the ground level hallways in beige and ochre in order to make them bigger and to maximize the light from the boulevard and from the garden’ stated François Sionnière, General Manager of the hotel.
La Reine Astrid**** offers 88 suites from 35 to 90 m², all equipped with a fully equipped kitchen. A Fitness Center is also available and private underground parking.
