Big Improvements and Expansion for the Warwick Resorts
on the Coral Coast in the Fiji Islands and in Vanuatu!
Warwick International Hotels has announced the commencement of an exciting and innovative refurbishment and upgrade programme of Le Lagon Resort in Vanuatu.
This 140-guest room hotel, including 28 bungalows and 4 island suites, is situated along the beachfront of the splendid Erakor Lagoon famed for its turquoise water.
Construction has commenced on a new swimming pool, remodeling the signature restaurant Tam-Tam, and a fresh new redesign of the resort’s reception area, lobby and lobby bar, and is scheduled to finish in November. Completion of the new pool will provide the resort with two new and spectacular cascading pools. At the center of this wonderful facility will be a unique and relaxing swim up pool bar. Le Lagon Resort is very proud to have been selected as the host for the PATA “Profit in the Pacific 2006 Indicative Programme”, to be held at the resort November 28 to December 1, 2006.
The Warwick Fiji Resort & Spa, which has just been rated one of the top 3 hotels in the Pacific Islands for 2006, has spent $15 million on renovations and addition of accommodations. The Warwick Fiji Resort & Spa has already renovated 100 of its 250 rooms and introduced a new spa that is three times as large as its existing one. The construction of 40 deluxe villas is scheduled to begin in 2007 and the opening of the villas is scheduled for 2008. Fifteen of the villas will share their own private swimming pool while the other 25 will have individual dipping pools.
Naviti Resort has completed its $15 million extension to its facilities and amenities. The extension includes two accommodation blocks consisting of 30 rooms and suites, 12 deluxe one and two bedroom bungalows, a ‘Joy’ Beauty Spa and a 1.1 million liter swimming pool with a pool bar, referred to by staff as a mini-lake. Jamal Serhan, Vice President Pacific Region for Warwick International Hotels stated: “Fiji is an excellent destination that we believe will continue to grow not only in tourism, but the economy as a whole, we are proud to be doing our part”.
“The entire expansion programme in the Pacific will take 4 years to complete and is expected to cost around $170 million” said Mr. Richard Chiu, President of Warwick International Hotels.
