Kedar is also the ideal venue for functions, weddings and conferences, and can cater for up to 100 guests. 66 African-themed stone and thatched rooms and suites are decorated with vibrant, hand-painted ethnic print fabrics and artworks reflecting Africa’s treasures. Paul Kruger Country House Museum
This fascinating museum offers a glimpse back in time at the life of Stephanus Johannes Paulus Kruger, State President of the old Zuid-Afrikaanse Republiek. The museum property encompasses a collection of unique historic buildings and showcases various insightful displays; museum tours are highly recommended.
Pilanesberg Game Reserve
The fourth largest park in South Africa, Pilanesberg is a melting pot of topographies (which include syenite koppies, forested ravines, bush veld and rolling grasslands and lightly wooded areas) all contained in the crater of an extinct volcano that covers 55,000 hectares. Guests can also experience hot air balloon rides, game drives and walking safaris.

With its unique entrance set amid large indigenous trees, a central fire and a traditional outdoor cooking area, The Boma offers a uniquely African ambience for relaxed buffets and braais, or for more formal functions.

The Heroes’ Bar at Kedar celebrates the heroes of the South African War, no matter the side. Visitors will be amazed by the splendid oil painting collage, the unique chandeliers and other historic artefacts. Even the bar menu is themed around the War. The Heroes Bar offers a full range of local and imported beverages, cocktails and South African wines, an outdoor seating area and an indoor big screen TV.
