Kent Monkman at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts – History Is Painted by the Victors
The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) presents the largest Canadian exhibition ever devoted to Kent Monkman, a world-renowned artist and member of the Fisher River Cree Nation.
Featuring 40 monumental works, Monkman reinterprets classical art history to offer a powerful Indigenous perspective on our past and present. The exhibition explores themes such as colonization, climate crisis, and 2ELGBTQIA+ visibility.
Two nearly 7-meter-wide paintings created for the Great Hall of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) in New York are also on display, illustrating the relationship between Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island (North America) and newcomers.
Exclusive Offer: To make your stay even more memorable, take advantage of our special offer, which includes:
- welcome gifts in your room
- 50% off parking included
- one exhibition ticket per adult, per room.
