Winter in Brussels is a season of festive traditions and cultural discoveries. From late November, the city comes alive with Winter Wonders, Brussels’ iconic Christmas market, running from 27 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. With its illuminated streets, festive atmosphere and lively city centre, it is an ideal time to experience Brussels and discover its many seasonal highlights. At Warwick Brussels Grand-Place, just steps from the Grand-Place, the festive season continues with the Christmas Bubbles Brunch on 25 December and the New Year’s Eve Buffet Dinner on 31 December, followed by the New Year’s Bubbles Brunch on 1 January 2027.
January brings a vibrant cultural programme to Brussels. The Brussels Jazz Festival, held at Flagey from 14 to 23 January, welcomes jazz lovers for ten days of performances, with Hotel Barsey by Warwick ideally located nearby on Avenue Louise. BRAFA Art Fair, from 24 to 31 January at Brussels Expo, brings together leading galleries and collectors from around the world. At the same time, the PhotoBrussels Festival, running from 21 January to 21 February, celebrates contemporary photography across the city.
In February, Bright Brussels Festival illuminates the city from 11 to 14 February, while Flagey Piano Days takes place from 10 to 14 February. Around Valentine’s Day, the Salon du Chocolat adds a delicious touch to the city’s winter programme. As spring arrives, March opens with The Magical Music of Harry Potter at La Madeleine on 3 March, located right in front of the Warwick Brussels Grand-Place, followed by the BANAD Festival, from 6 to 21 March, celebrating the city’s remarkable Art Nouveau and Art Deco heritage. Book lovers can explore the Brussels Book Fair from 18 to 21 March, while film enthusiasts can look forward to the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF), taking place from 25 March to 10 April. Made in Asia, bringing together Japanese and Asian pop culture, gaming, manga and entertainment, will also return to Brussels, with 2027 dates to be confirmed.
April continues with an exciting mix of cultural and professional events. The Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival continues until 10 April, while BEDEX (Brussels European Defence Exhibition & Conference) takes place on 14 April. Art lovers can discover leading international galleries and contemporary works at Art Brussels, from 15 to 18 April. The month also brings Easter celebrations, including the Easter Bubbles Brunch at Warwick Brussels Grand-Place, with the date to be announced soon. In May, Brussels celebrates its identity, diversity and European spirit. Brussels Pride, marking its 30th edition, takes place from 14 to 15 May, while the Iris Festival celebrates the Brussels-Capital Region in early May. July continues with some of the city’s most iconic traditions. The Estivales de la Danse, presented at BOZAR from 2 July, brings internationally renowned dance performances to the heart of Brussels. The historic Ommegang, traditionally held during the first week of July, transforms the city centre with one of Brussels’ most celebrated historical spectacles, with the 2027 dates still to be confirmed. August keeps the city moving with an exciting programme of performances and live entertainment. Music fans can also look forward to Clouseau at King Baudouin Stadium on 4 and 6 August, offering two major concert dates for visitors and locals alike. Autumn brings a rich mix of cultural events, festivals, sporting challenges and artistic discoveries to Brussels. September begins with the Belgian Beer Weekend, one of the city’s most popular celebrations of Belgian brewing, taking place from 3 September. The month also brings the Brussels Film Festival, with dates to be confirmed, alongside the Comic Strip Festival, celebrating Belgium’s rich connection to the world of comics. Car-Free Sunday, also taking place in September, offers a unique opportunity to discover Brussels without traffic as streets across the city become dedicated to pedestrians, cyclists and outdoor activities.
In October, Brussels’ cultural calendar becomes even more vibrant. Museum Night Fever invites visitors to experience the city’s museums after dark, combining exhibitions with music, performances and creative experiences. Art on Paper brings contemporary drawing and works on paper to the city, while Brussels Comic Con welcomes fans of comics, film, television, gaming and pop culture.
