If you’re looking for that timeless pair of Chanel ballet flats or Tod’s loafers, a precisely tailored suit, or simply a fragranced candle to take home, Sloane Street is the London shopping destination of choice. 

Picnic in the park

When you’re all shopped out and the weather is fine, what could be better than a picnic lunch in Hyde Park, just a 5 minute stroll away? From your stylish base at The Capital, venture into the famed Harrods Foodhall to stock up, ideally situated a few steps away from your apartment. Delectable delights perfect for a summer picnic include a succulent rotisserie chicken, a crusty sourdough loaf, delicate pastries and a bottle of chilled rosé or cider.

Once you enter the park, wander through the green lawns and London Plane trees until you reach The Serpentine, the historic recreational lake which has been an attraction since the 18th century. Boat hire is open until sundown, or enjoy a ride on the Solarshuttle, a solar-powered boat that travels between the north and south banks of the Serpentine. Other Hyde Park highlights nearby are the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain and the Rose Garden with the Huntress and Boy and Dolphin fountains.
